Overview
The YFS series is Yanfeng Group's right-angle helical-worm gear reducer. A helical first stage drives a worm and worm-wheel output stage, giving a compact right-angle unit with a wide ratio range. It is available as a bare gear unit or as a geared motor with a directly flanged AC motor, in seven frame sizes from S37 to S97, covering input powers from 0.12 kW to 22 kW and permissible output torques from 93 N·m to 3,990 N·m, with ratios from roughly 6.8 up to about 290. The exploded view in the catalogue shows a cast housing with bolted cover and sealing gasket, a breather cap, an oil sight glass and drain plug, a worm and worm wheel, a helical gear and pinion pair on the input side, an output shaft carried on rolling bearings, shaft sleeves, circlips, and flat and lip (skeleton) oil seals. The cover page highlights three construction points: a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that seals out dust and tolerates high temperature, high-grade ball bearings that reduce friction and raise transmission efficiency, and precision-ground gears in high-quality alloy steel that improve meshing accuracy. The series is offered foot-mounted (YFS), flange-mounted (YFSF), with hollow output shaft (YFSA) and with hollow shaft plus flange (YFSAF); the type-designation key also lists B14 flange (AZ), foot-plus-hollow-shaft (A...B) and foot-plus-flange (S...F) combinations. The selection guide states that the units are rated for steady load, a stated daily operating time and a limited number of starts; for other duty the required torque is multiplied by driven-machine, prime-mover and starting factors (f1, f2, f3) and compared with the permissible torque.
